The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention still recommends avoiding cruise trips during the pandemic.
These are the updated 2021 sailing plans for cruise lines like Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Disney Cruises.
Bad news for any eager cruisegoers: cruise lines are continuing to extend cruising suspensions into 2021 as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
The cruising industry initially saw a quiet period after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention posted and extended its no-sail order as the coronavirus pandemic began surging in 2020. But after months of waiting, in October, the CDC replaced its mandatory sailing pause with a framework for Conditional Sailing Order, a list of rigorous requirements needed for cruise lines to continue operating again by November.

Nailsea School has joined the Wessex Learning Trust to enable staff to share teaching and learning expertise.
The school, in Mizzymead Road, is the 14th to join the Cheddar-based multi-academy trust, and the second secondary school - alongside Kings of Wessex Academy in Cheddar.
This partnership will enable staff across the trust to share expertise and work more efficiently.
A number of collaborations have already begun with teachers sharing best practice across departments including in science and English.
Gavin Ball, chief executive of the Wessex Learning Trust said: “We welcome Nailsea School to our multi-academy trust family, we encourage our schools to be at the centre of their community and raise aspirations and achievement.
Coronavirus fallout: Cruising into the unknown Cruises to nowhere an attempt to establish trust
What were called cruises to nowhere were undertaken in the past few months to show that cruises were feasible even in times of pandemic. But the term concealed sobering facts: such outings took place with a maximum of 60% of normal passenger numbers and strict hygiene measures. During the first cruises to northern Europe, on the Mediterranean and off Singapore, passengers were not allowed to leave the ships. Now, if local authorities allow it, passengers can again disembark. Nevertheless, cruise passengers have to remain together in their group. Those who leave them without permission are not allowed to return to the ship.
